If you’re a baker or cake decorator, you know the search for Valentine’s Day cake inspiration starts well before Christmas! Honestly, the transition from Christmas to Valentine’s is so much fun; there’s something about all the pinks, reds, and hearts that makes it such a cute holiday.

Valentines Cake Design for Pizza Lovers
I don’t think I’ve ever written a blog about cake designs without including a creation from Whitney! The talent and creativity are always next level. For this cake, a 1/4-inch stripe comb was used to create the red and white stripes, the pizza pieces are made with fondant, and the letters were made from edible sheets cut with a Cricut machine.

Pun cakes are funny and adorable, there’s just something about them. This "Stuck on You" design with a cactus is perfect! This cake is covered in buttercream using a stripe comb, the “stuck on you” is achieved using an outboss stamp from SweetStamp.

This cake is bright, fun, and full of Valentine’s Day charm. The pink lips are made using a stencil and buttercream, the metallic X’s are made using metallic rod sprinkles, and the tiny hearts are sprinkles as well🩷

The best thing about sheet cakes is how versatile they are, especially when it comes to adding text. This one is a great example, with a beautifully decorated border and a center text that immediately makes me start singing, "Can I call you Rose?"

Some might say chocolate drip cakes are out of style, but I disagree. A chocolate drip always adds character to a cake and makes it look stunning. This pink and blue design is the perfect example, it looks absolutely amazing!

Here’s another chocolate drip cake that’s absolutely stunning. The detailing with the LOVE letters is so impressive, piped one dot at a time using a small star tip. Such a beautiful touch!
