Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 Cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 2 Tbsp Cold water

Instructions
 

  • Place the cold heavy cream in a blender or stand mixer. Whip on high speed for about 5 minutes, or until the cream starts to curdle.
  • Add the cold water and whip again until the butter solids separate from the liquid buttermilk.
  • Pour the mixture into a sieve placed over a bowl to separate the butter from the buttermilk. Using your hands, squeeze the butter to remove any excess liquid.
  • Shape the butter, wrap it in parchment or plastic wrap, and store in the fridge. Save the buttermilk for other recipes like pancakes or biscuits.
