1 Bowl
1 teaspoon
1 Measuring Cup
- Strawberries (I used 2 boxes)
- 4 Cups Water
- ¼ Cup White Vinegar
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
Grab a large bowl and place your strawberries in it. You'll want to cover them with room temperature water.
Add 1/4 cup of white vinegar and a teaspoon of baking soda. Stir everything and let sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Make sure you don't keep them soaking for more than 10 minutes, this will result in soggy strawberries.
After soaking, rinse your strawberries under cool running water. Make sure all the vinegar and baking soda is rinsed off. Cover a tray with paper towels, laying down two or three layers to soak up the water. Spread your strawberries out on the tray. Take another paper towel and gently pat each strawberry dry. Let the strawberries air dry on the paper towel-covered tray for a little while. I usually wait about 15 to 30 minutes. You want no visible water or dampness before you start dipping them in chocolate.
