This peanut butter cookies recipe went viral on TikTok back in 2020, and for a good reason! With just five simple ingredients, it’s incredibly easy to make and absolutely delicious. While it’s not my original recipe, I had to give it a try; and it was definitely worth it!
These cookies are soft, rich, and packed with peanut butter flavor. So, if you’re looking for an easy peanut butter cookie recipe or even just craving classic PB cookies, give this one a try!
Understanding The Ingredients:
- Brown Sugar: Brown sugar is key for adding a rich, caramel-like sweetness to these cookies. It also helps create a soft and chewy texture that peanut butter cookie lovers adore.
- Peanut Butter: The star of the show! Peanut butter not only provides the signature nutty flavor but also acts as a binder, eliminating the need for flour in this recipe. Use creamy peanut butter for a smooth texture, or crunchy if you want some added bite.
- Egg: The egg helps hold the dough together and adds moisture, keeping the cookies soft and tender.
- Baking Soda: Baking soda gives these cookies their lift, helping them puff up slightly while baking and creating a light texture.
- Chocolate Chips: Chocolate chips are optional, but they add a delicious burst of sweetness and pair perfectly with the rich, nutty flavor of peanut butter. You can adjust the amount based on your preference.
