Celebrate Easter with These Stunning Cake Designs

Easter is finally here, and with it comes this weird association that I still don’t understand: eggs, rabbits and chocolate.

Maybe it has something to do with Alice’s Wonderland or something. Who knows? But anyway.

The great thing about Easter is that it brings a lot of sweets and creativity with it. Every year has its share of novelty.

From beautifully paint-inspired cakes to more fun and bright experiences, we’ll touch every color of the rainbow in this article.

Let’s dive into it!

Hand-Painted Easter Cake

Sometimes I stumble upon a cake that makes me think ‘Yup, this is art’. Well, here is one. A beautiful painting-styled cake decoration that will make you feel like you’re in the middle of a Lewis Carroll story. The cute rabbit wearing a jacket, the cake shaped flowers, and even the bright orange of the carrots. Everything feels surrealist, and really inspired. I love it too much to even think about eating it.

Easter Drip Cake

Who said you can’t look classy and at the same time bring something new? We all know drip cakes will never stop being a thing and I’m here for it. This pastel cake mixed with the golden Lindt rabbit is the perfect example of a bold look to a classic style. Makes me want to eat that Lindt chocolate rabbit before cutting myself a nice slice.

Cadburry Eggs Easter Cake

Chocolate banana. Or Vanilla chocolate. That’s what comes to my mind when I see this cake. It looks super yummy, and the attention to details with the eggs is amazing. You can see broken shells at the bottom. Makes it look like you are witnessing the process. A cake in the making. And I’d definitely be happy to participate in the opposite process of eating it.

Fun Easter Cake Design

There is a sheep on this Easter cake. I’m not sure if that’s also an Easter symbol but it looks so cute and I’m here for it! We can also spot a cute carrot with a face, flowers, a big yellow egg. The colours blend well together, but my personal favourite is the pale green buttercream texture, true work of a professional.

And as if the picture wasn’t magical enough, check out how amazing the tutorial is!

Easter Eggs Cake

From the green pastures to the colors of the ocean. This blue cake gives you an idea on how it would look like if the little siren made a cake for Easter. A beautiful blue, cute eggs on top and at the bottom we can spot flowers that makes you think of sartfish holding pearls.

Vintage Easter Cake

It’s an interesting idea to bring something that you can’t eat as decoration for a cake. But here, it works super well. Big and cute wooden rabbit ears on top, and a small piece of rope that you usually use to wrap a gift. Some chocolate layers can still be seen and the finitions are not perfect. And that’s actually a perfect detail. It gives off that vibe of artisanal cake.

Bunny Garden Easter Cake

I hope you love green as much as I do, because this is the green cake you need. From top to bottom you can find at least three different green shades for an effects that pops. This bright cake is studded with green sprinkles, cute carrots and bunny heads. A dark chocolate ganache drip and bright-green grass complement each other to make this the perfect Easter garden cake.

Checkered Easter Cake

I don’t think I have ever written a blog post without one of Whitney’s cakes in it, I’m always so wowed by her talent and creations. If you are not afraid to spend a lot of times on small details (believe me you have to be patient for this one), this cake is perfect for you. The checkered look of the surface of the cake coupled with small flowers gives a peaceful feeling that almost contradicts the bright coloured upper and lower part. This cake is fun, it’s new, and most definitely perfect!

Chocolate Pastel Easter Cake

Another amazing creation by Whitney that is the proof that you can successfully mix two different cake themes in one cake. The whole cake is covered with chocolate with chocolate drip and chocolate pastel peeps to decorate the top. The bottom half is decorated with layers of pastel colours making it the perfect chocolate cake with pastel colours.

Pastel Easter Cake

Ok at this point I think it’s clear that I’m obsessed with Whitney’s work, but seriously, how can I not? Check out this cake! Sporting pastel stripes in yellow, purple, teal, and pink, it's giving off major Easter vibes. The cake is topped with a fluffy swirl of buttercream, and the Easter egg decorations are the cherry on top. Looks as sweet to the eyes as it probably is to the taste!

Pink Easter Cake

This one is a party in pink! This cake's strutting bold stripes and bunny silhouettes, all sprinkled with a dash of glitter. Up top, there's a whole parade of yellow peeps and colourful macarons, making a sweet little crowd. And don’t get me started on the sprinkle explosion at the base. Just screams fun and festive.

Classy Easter Cake Designs

If Easter & Valentine had a baby, it would look like this. Romantic Easter is on the menu with these two stunners!

The one on the left is a vision in pink, wrapped in floral designs with roses in vibrant colours crowning the top, and some delicate macarons. The one on the right has pink bunny ears that add a playful twist. It’s all dressed up with flowers and candy eggs nestled at its feet. Together, they're a duo that could steal the show at any spring or Easter celebration.

Hoppy Easter Cake

Wrapped up in a vibrant pink, this cake is stacked like it's reaching for the sky, with each layer edged in an array of sunny yellow flowers. The bunny silhouette that is jumping is an interesting choice. Usually we see cakes adopting a stylized bunny but this one is actually pretty realistic. All in all, this cake is cheerful, like a spring day turned into a dessert.

Easter Bunny Birthday Cake

This cake’s straight out of a storybook with its adorable bunny popping out the top. The orange base is a cheerful backdrop for the playful paws, and that little bow on the bunny's head? Too cute! With its pastel accents and those little carrots and flowers around the base, it’s a charming creation and the perfect birthday day for your little one!

Lavender Easter Cake

This cake has a playful vibe with a twist. The top is all dolled up with swirly purple frosting rosettes, while the sides are a sprinkle explosion, like a funfetti dream. And peeking out from the sprinkles is the silhouette of a bunny, standing out in a smooth purple.

Peeps Easter Cake

This cake is a rainbow made of bunnies! The layers of pastel bunny shapes are a cute way to get into the Easter spirit. With rows of pink, green, blue, and yellow, it’s like a delicious spectrum. Those yellow bunny peeps sitting on top are the perfect finishing touch, almost like they’re overseeing a colorful bunny convention. It’s a playful, happy-go-lucky sort of cake that brings a smile just looking at it.

And that was the last of them. The cakes we’ve seen are not just treats; they're edible art, crafted to bring warmth, delight, and a sense of renewal to any table they grace. Whether you prefer the elegance of floral designs, the rustic charm of a nest, or the vibrant rainbow of bunny shapes, there's inspiration here for every Easter celebration.

I hope you enjoyed this sweet trip as much as I and that you found what you were looking for.

See you soon and happy baking!
