Authentic Lebanese Hummus

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Can Chickpeas 540ml
  • 1 Large garlic clove
  • 2 Tbsp Lemon juice
  • ¼ cup Tahini paste
  • ¼ cup Water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2-3 Ice cubes

Instructions
 

  • Drain and rinse the chickpeas well.
    Add the chickpeas, garlic, and a pinch of salt to your blender or food processor. Blend for a few seconds to break everything down.
    Scrape down the sides to make sure it all blends evenly.
    Add the lemon juice, tahini, and a bit of water. Blend again until it starts to come together.

  • Drop in 2 to 3 ice cubes and blend until the hummus is smooth and creamy.
  • Taste and adjust the salt or lemon juice if needed.
  • To store, scoop the hummus into an airtight container and keep it in the fridge.

  • When you’re ready to serve, transfer to a plate or bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and decorate however you like. I usually go with a few mint leaves.
