Ingredients

  • 1 Rectangular puff pastry sheet
  • Marinara sauce
  • Shredded cheese
  • Egg or Milk (for egg wash)
  • Basil or Oregano (to sprinkle on top)

Instructions

  • Cut the stars out of your puff pastry. If you’re using one sheet, cut five stars and keep the rest for the sticks, then reuse the scraps for more stars. If you’re using two sheets, use one for the stars and the other for the sticks.

  • Take the part you saved for the sticks. Spread a thin layer of marinara on half of it, add the shredded cheese, and fold the sheet. Cut the folded piece into equal strips.

  • Twist each strip gently and place it on a baking tray lined with parchment. Add a star on top of each stick. Brush with egg wash or milk, sprinkle a bit of cheese and basil, and bake at 220 °C / 425 °F for about 10 to 15 minutes or according to your puff pastry’s instructions.
