Striped 4th Of July Cakes

I've been noticing the popularity of bento box cake sets all over social media, and I must admit, I'm absolutely obsessed with Striped cakes have been around for a few years, and they’re prettier than ever! The beauty of striped cakes for the 4th of July is that the stripes can match the United States flag perfectly. Layers of red, white, and blue create a stunning visual! You can decorated these cakes however you want; you can pipe buttercream on top, add a chocolate drip, or both!

My Most Popular Recipe ✨

4th Of July Flag Cakes

Cakes with the American flag on them are a fantastic way to show your patriotic spirit on the 4th of July. These cakes can be as simple or elaborate as you like. You can decorate the top with frosting in red, white, and blue to create the flag's stripes and stars, or go all the way with your creativity by piping each dot at a time to create the flag (if you have the patience for it). Another fun idea is to bake a cake with a surprise flag inside, so when you slice it, you reveal a hidden flag pattern.

One of my absolute favourite flag cakes is this one! The flag is an edible sugar fabric from www.sugar-art.ca [you can use my code BUTTER20 for 20% off your whole order]. The fabrics are so easy to use, you just peel them off the plastic and place them on the cake!

And of course, the cakes with the United States’ flag on the inside for a fun surprise!

4th Of July Star Cakes

Star cakes are a great way to add some sparkle to your 4th of July celebration. One of my favourites is this red buttercream cake with chocolate blue stars on top. I also posted one of my past creations for the 4th of July; to achieve this design I simply covered my cake with white buttercream, cut out some stars using baking paper, placed them on the cake (your buttercream needs to be 100% set) and then airbrushed the cake with a dark blue!

4th Of July Fireworks Cakes

“Cause baby you’re a firework!” is what I started singing the second I saw these beautiful cakes! There are so many ways to create a cake with fireworks for the 4th of July. Below, several cakes are features, they were delicately decorated using buttercream (freely piped, using a stencil, or even piping single dots one at a time). I’ll let you enjoy these beauties!

Fun 4th Of July Cakes

And of course I had to add these fun options!

4th Of July Sheet Cakes

Sheet cakes are a fantastic option for a 4th of July celebration, especially if you're serving a crowd. They’re easy to make, decorate, and serve, making them a go-to choice for parties. You can keep it simple with a classic white frosting and decorate the top with red, white, and blue sprinkles.

For a more festive look, try creating a flag design using fresh berries like strawberries and blueberries. You can also pipe stars and stripes with colored frosting to mimic the American flag.

4th Of July Letter Cakes

Letter cakes are another fun and creative way to celebrate the 4th of July. You can spell out "USA" using small cakes, decorating each letter with red, white, and blue frosting or sprinkles. It's a great way to add a personal touch to your dessert table and makes serving easy.

Another idea is to make a large single letter cake, like a big "U," "S," or "A," and decorate it with patriotic colors. You can use blue, red, and white frosting, add star-shaped candies, or even use fresh berries to make it look festive. Letter cakes are not only delicious but also make a great centerpiece for your celebration!

There you have it, some amazing 4th of July cake ideas to make your celebration extra special. From striped cakes and American flag designs to star cakes and creative letter cakes, there’s something here for everyone. Whether you’re keeping it simple or going all out with decorations, these cakes will surely impress your guests and add a festive touch to your holiday.
